From D.C. to Amsterdam
March saw us traveling down to Washington, D.C., for the 2018 ABLC conference before we flew to the Netherlands for the World Bio Markets conference, to network and promote Maine’s assets to global leaders in the biobased industry. We showed products made in Maine, shared success stories from Maine companies, and generated dozens and dozens of great leads for Biobased Maine member companies and Maine’s forest industry.
It was a successful month of travel (notwithstanding the occasional nor’easter!). At both conferences, we met entrepreneurs, other biobased organizations, and executives at biobased technology companies. We learned about exciting innovations in biobased manufacturing and marketed Maine’s asset to support a new biobased industry, including our abundance of sustainable second-generation wood, industrial infrastructure, and strong workforce.
